i've been popping in 12 fever pills, 10 antiboitics,
and countless lozenges since last saturday morning.

it has already been 4 awesome days without bathing,
(i do use wet towel to wipe my body though -sigh-)
eating well, sleeping well and talks well.

worse of all, my mum have to run all the errands for me,
despite how tired she is after all the praying and stuffs.
making sure i've ate my med, cooks for me porridge and barley etc.

I've been running high fever due to the worse throat infection ever happen.
i have about 10+ ulcers in my throat and its all visible.
felt really disgusted everytime i tried to apply medicine on them.

and the problem is i hasn't been eating any fried food during CNY.
zero-mc since month of december. im seriously puzzled.

till now my temperature still doesn't gives up the figure 38.5.
seriously hate to be sick at this critical point of time.

Solemn in 2 weeks times. Many workloads piling up at my work desk.
worse of all, not able to help out with the tight closings with my colleagues.
felt so bad for troubling them so much.

i'm sincerely praying that i'm able to pull through this torment.
and get my health back at shape to continue my normal routine of life.

goodbye 2011 and hello 2012!

the last month of 2011 been super busy for me.
rushing of renewal and reporting is really killing me.
but thank god i've finally pull through this hectic month.

its a season of love, joy and happiness.
with many party, gathering and good food.

brother's 28th birthday was a stayed-home steamboat dinner with family.

gathering with girlfriends and impromtu meet-ups with bestie.

christmas celebration in office with colleagues and gift exchange.

christmas party at cousiejess place.

happy kavyen with his signature cheeky face.

gathering with kel's buddies over at klapson's hotel.
its was a night full of twister, taboo and jacuzzi.

and so 2011 has finally come to a full stop leaving lotsa memories behind.
though this year hasn't been really good for me.
and with all the catastrophes going on around the globe.
let's pray 2012 will be a better year!

i felt so amazing looking back at myself two years ago.

my teeth looks like this back then. crooked ugly and difficult to brush.

after two years plus of suffering. i never felt so confident of my smile before.

the super expensive orthodontic treatment makes it all worthwhile.

i've a lifetime straight teeth now. =))

& the wedding prep begins..

few weeks back kel came over to my place to ask my hand from my father.
both of us are really nervous, especially kel. hehe.
he seriously got freaked out a few times by the thought of talking to my father.
but he finally manage to pull through that initial stage.
well of cos with the aid of me smoothing the atmosphere. haha!
i think this first stage was really important to me.
its symbolizes a promise to my father from kel that he'll take
the responsibility to take care of me from now onwards, as a husband. =)))

then comes meet-the-parents session.
kel parents came over to my place few weeks ago and ask for marriage (提亲)。
it was an awkward moment for us but it was then we realize...
getting married isn't just a matter for the two of us.
it involves two family coming together and discussing about our future.
both kel and i felt really loved by our parents.

thank god everything went smoothly and my parents are very pleased. hehehe.

after all the dates were set.
we went sourcing high and low for our ROM and wedding venue.

for the past few weeks, both kel and i are really really packed with pre-wedding preparations!

we decided to have our ROM and wedding on a separate dates..
because both of us doesn't want our wedding day to be a rushy one.

after all the racky-ing of venue, attending site inspection.
we've finally chosen our place for our ROM and wedding dinner. =)))
we got lots to prepare further and i can't wait for our ROM next year!

though it'll be a tiring journey but i'm really enjoying every process of it.
most importantly is going through this process with the one i love. =))

the proposal

he finally proposed! =))

in fact we've been planning about marriage quite a few mths ago already.

until one fine day as we were walking around at northpoint.
kel suddenly said "dear, let's go see your proposal ring ok?"
i was like..."REALLY AR???" everytime we walked past jewellary shops,
it was always me the one who wanted to go in and take a look.

so i was really SURPRISE that day when kel said he wanted to go in!
we were browsing at a few rings...and kel asked me to choose a ring that i like.
and yes, after i've finally chosen the one that i love.
he went ahead with the payment with a cheeky smile on his face.

to many girls, he may have lost the surprise element of proposing.
but to me, i know he's simply a guy who wanted to get a ring that his girl would really love.
cause i know how dumb he can get in choosing gifts for me. hehe.

and really, i was only waiting for this proposal to come.
after he bought the ring he keep saying.. "i chop you liao ar..."
he knew it all along i'll say "i do".
but he told me to wait, cos he really wanna make the proposal night a special one.
and i've finally waited for this day to come.

after he kept the ring for many many weeks later, he finally proposed!

it was truely a heart-warming night for the both of us.

it was just like another normal sunday date.
kel told me he wanted to bring me out for a dinner.

we headed out quite late in the afternoon as i had flea market with my cousiejess that sunday morning.
physically and mentally tired, cause the flea starts at 8am!

we visited a bridal fair at suntec and realize we were being cheated.
the bridal fair was urberly small and we left after a short while.

kel brought me to the botanic garden for a short walk as we still have some time before dinner.
he said he've never been to botanic garden before. haha.
it's been really long since the last time we took a stroll at a garden.
i remember the last time was the park downstair my place during our pat-tor days.

about an hour later, kel brought me to the dinner place.
he was really being mysterious that day, just held my hands and bring me to where ever he goes.
i was getting really suspicious already. haha.

dinner was at Salt Grill and Sky Bar. it was our first time there.
we took a lift to 55th level of Ion, and i was worrying bout the pain in my ear.
haha. we were having dinner and viewing the night scenery of singapore.
i remember the view that night was really beautiful and of cause, romantic.
the food was superbly delicious too! and we ate and chat for about 2 long hours.

after the dinner, kel brought me to singapore flyer.
i asked him immediately if we were going to sit the flyer!
thank god he told me no, he said i'll definately throw up if i were to sit that.
which i definately will, cause after dinner i were already feeling naseau.

we sat down along the river and chatted for about an hour.
that night, kel suddenly said lotsa heart-felt words.
which i could totally feels the inner him and what he was trying to put across.

he mentioned the days when we first met. to our maple story training days.
how he have kept disturbing me during poly days.
our first date at Plaza Sing watching corpse bride when we were 17.
our early breakfast at macdonalds.

the one year interval and once in a while messaging each other.
the kel-vinci code he've sent me to ask me back.
our first kiss at the age of 19.
and how much he've regretted letting me go and wanting me back.

the lotsa hand-made gifts from him. the cartoonated of our story from him.
the many years of struggling to get me back during army days.

the constant companionship when i was in my devastated days.
the constant assurance and reassurance from him to break the walls.

our 缘分, like bestie said, just could'nt be broken.
after so many years, we were still back with each other. =))

after the long hours of heart-to-heart chat and talking of our found memories.
we continued to walk along the river after kel grab a drink from 7-11.
(without me knowing that he actually ran back to his car and grab the ring)
while we were walking, he suddenly hugged me tightly said...

"this is the place i've asked you to be my gf, this is also the place i want to asked you to be my wife...."

before i could hold my tears any longer.

kel kneels down and asked "你愿意嫁给我吗？" =))

i cried uncontrollably. and kel teared too. hehe.

23.10.2011 was the day I've finally agreed to be his Mrs. Toh.
that night was an extremely joyous moment for both kel and me.

our 8 years of hanging by a tread relationship have finally comes to an end...
and this has also signify's the new beginning to our next stage of life.

i'm willing and prepared to walk the next stage our life together with you dear.
i heart you deeply. =))

this post was dedicated to all my sisters out there.

since young, i was born to have an elder brother.
i was no doubt a sticky sister to my bro.
playing computer games, basketball-ing, wrestling, street fighter-ing with my bro.
obeying my bro's instruction and tahan-ing his scoldings becomes part and parcel of my life.
but i still love my bro alot. cos he've been through thick and thin with me. "mostly" haha!
kel says i listen to my bro more than i listen to him. yes that's true. hehe!
no matter how male chauvinist pig my bro is. i still love him. =))

still, im always longing to have a sister.
a sister to share my personal problems and secrets with.
a sister whom i can gossip with her all day long.
though god didn't gave me one. but he gave me many.
and i felt more than fortunate to have known them and have them in my life.
mushy much? hehehehe.

i believe we do met different people at different stages of our life.
fate brought us together, but afterall its us who have to keep the friendship going.
it's hard to maintain the close bond with each other always.
cos everyone maybe busy with their own life and gradually forgets about each other.
i think it takes two hands to clap. same goes for friendship.
each and everyone gotta make time for each other.
updating about each other's life and keep each other updated.
friends gotta open up with one another and guide each other along.

it takes years to maintain friendships and along the way.
we'll definately knows who'll be there for us when the tide is high.

friendships talks bout commitment too, not only for relationships. =)

and im glad to have a few sisters of mine. whom i really cherish.
and i believe they do as well, cos they're the one who have the committment to keep the close bond going. after so many years. hehehe. that's what i call real friendships.

they are the ones who will never forgets your birthdays when there's no facebook. =))

girlfriends from secondary sch. there've some tides along the way, but we manage to pull through and keep this friendships going. im glad we did. =)

batam trip & king's day

both cousiejess and i finally had our 2nd o'sea trip together.
this time round we brought along our boyfie. hehe.
its just a mini sweet getaway over the weekend to...
yes BATAM! once again for both kel and me.

we so wanted to go rendang initally. especially cousiejess.
but i cannot afford to take anymore leaves.
leaves for me are super precious and its save for studies. -sigh-

it was a last min trip thingy.
got our tix from deal.com at just S$77 per pax.
this batam trip was kinda different experience from the past
batam-bintan beach trip for both me and kel.

the package includes a one day city tour at batam.
and this one day city tour really worn us out at the end of the day.
this explains why so lil pics was taken for this trip.
but nonetheless, we superbly enjoyed ourself.
cause it's the company that counts.!

we were joking about our age during the trip.
roy was born in the tiger year. so was kelvin.
but i kinda look the oldest in the group. so roy called me 大姐.
even the uncle that roy bought his watch from also called me that. (-_-")

didn't really have the chance to take lotsa pics this trip.
cause we kept rushing from one place to another.

we stopped by a place of interest called "Golden Prawn 933" for seafood lunch.
And so, the 4 of us gets to fool around abit before lunch. hehe!

we visited this "small village" and "mini zoo".
which we nearly die from heat stroke. but i manage to snap a few pics. hehe!

jess wanted to ride on "roy" literally. haha.

we also manage to catch a local cultural dance and stunts that really stunt me.

it's tedious for the poor living in batam.
they have to live as street artiste to earn money.
and they have to eat fire burning charcoal and glass...
to earn just 70 cents from each person/tourist. they lead a hard life.
but in return, they're free from stressful modern life.
which means they're definately live longer then the urban people.

at the end of the tour. we headed back to our hotel.
we stayed overnight at crown-vista hotel.
it was named as the "Genting" hotel of batam.
cause it's situated at the peak of batam.
we were SUPER WORN OUT.
and i seriously really regret not taking more pics of the hotel.
cause the night view from the balcony were stunning.

after the buffet dinner. we headed back to our rooms separately.
and kel went into deep sleep thereafter without knowing that.....

when the clock strike 12am on 3rd of july.

i remember vividly on the trip itself i just casually make a remark
that sunday its kel's bday and jess is really thoughtful and
sweet to prepare a bday card and cupcake for him!
thank you jess! love you so much.!

and yes, kel is very surprise woking up from his sleep to
hear the 3 of us singing bday songs out loud. hehe.

though it's a short-worn out trip for us.
but i really enjoyed it much with the cousiejess, roy and my dear kel. hehe.

don't worry jess! rendang trip will come after i clear my exam this year!

and so we headed to singapore on king's day at 3rd july.
kel didn't know that i've also secretly plan a bday surprise for him!
pakat with kel's sis to help me put my gifts for him on the day we head back.

upon reaching his house. kel is surprise to see his gifts on his studydesk.
hehee. and after our dinner with his family.
while kel was in the room using comp.
me and his family surprise him with a cake and
singing out loud bday songs for him.he said it's his first time in
his 25 years of life his parents actually sang a bday song for him.
he felt nothing but happiness. and i can feel it too.

he was EVEN more surprise when he realize that i DIY-ed the cake myself.
cos his parents question why the bday cake so special.
i think they're trying to ask why the cake so "cui" (-_-") haha.

weekends with loved ones

kel starts to get busy with his drama shooting.
meaning i will be seeing him lesser during weekends.
but very soon i'll be packed with studies again.
so, it might be a blessing in disguise kel don't have much time for me.
cause i'll be burning my weekends for two modules. -sigh-
receievd my result for april module and just as i expected.
didn't make it for this module.

this is the first time i failed my exam for this course.
tear terribly though i ancitipated it.
SCI change the whole syllabus for this course.
and they expect us to study a module of 525 pages within two months. (-_-")
hectic worklife didn't give me much time to complete memorizing the book.
no matter how hard it is, i'll still gotta complete the remaining 3 modules.
3 more modules and i'll be free from exams. 加油随燕！！

enough of grumbling and whining already.
attended kel's cousin wedding on saturday night with his family.
we were super late for the wedding because kel came home at around 7pm.
kel's papa chiong to the location so fast till i nearly had a heart attack.
like too fast too furious. when returning like tokyo drift. (-_-")
but i still enjoyed the dinner with his family and feeling ultra happy.
as it is our first time attending wedding function together.

sunday was well-spent with my girlfriends and their boyfriends.
thanks girls for comprising to have the dinner on a sunday night.
all because of kel's busy schedule.
nevertheless. it was a great night at kuishinbo with you girls.

wishing forever will be the same like we're 13 back then. hehe.

i really really hope that another 6 years down the road,

spent a after-exam chillax sunday with my girls, sophia and sandy.
we went for a mani-pedicure session.
thanks to sop for getting sucha good deal for me from deal.com.
just S$30 for mani-pedicure session at novena's nail lab.
it was my VIRGIN TRY. how sua gu. (-_-")
sop totally can't stand my sua-guness and irritatingness. haha!
but still i really really ENJOYED my first mani-pedicure session with them.

surprisely, her nails were the shortest, but time taken was the longest. haha.

our nails colours. sop with her favourite crimson red. sand chose a classy nude.

i really love my nail and toe colour.
the colour is so versatile that it can match any apparel i wear.
can't help but kept haolian-ing to kel when i reached home. hehe.
than kept forcing kel to touch my smooth smooth feet.
for the first time in 24 years, my feet never felt so mochi-mochi. (-_-")

the usual three then head down to bugis for a shopping spree.
we BOUGHT hell lotsa good cheap stuffs. hahaha!
super satisfied with my buys that day.

at the end of the day, we are three very happy women. =)
and at the end of the day. we were so damn tired as well. haha.
but i seriously cannot wait for our next meet-up.

over at kel's place now. waiting for him patiently to knock off from work.
and making use of this time alone to update my blog and pen down my thoughts.
heart missing him like hell versus heaven. (-_-")
really hate not being able to spend a whole saturday with him.
HIS WORK TOOK UP ALOT OF OUR TIME.
and this makes me wanna move in to his house and live with him.
so i can see him everynight. tugged into his arms and start snoring. zZZ

another part of me wanted to continue living with my parents.
cos the time spent with them will be lesser in a few years time.
as eventually, i will get married and move out to live with my future-husband-to-be-kel. =)
by the thoughts of it. makes me kinda fear moving out from my nest.
how contradicting a women can be. -sigh-

anyway, got a news to break. kel and I have finally choose to settle down.
he asked me one day if we should apply for a flat in yishun.
cos his mum is pushing him to apply flat with me. (-_-") how lame his reason can be.
his real reason is he wanna tie me down with responsibility. scare i go fool around. haha.

that's when we're only 8 mths together. Initially i was shocked when he pop the question.
no doubt we've know each other for donkey years. isn't it too fast for us?
but i thought, apply doesn't mean will get it. so why not? haha. and we both gave it a shot.
when i first break the news to my family of us applying for a flat.
my bro asked me "you sure u wanna apply flat with kel now? What if you guys break how?"
parents were against the idea as well. thinking it way too fast for us.

i asked kel the same question. and he told me that i'm the one he wanna spend the rest of his whole life with.
that's why he pop the question so early. he said though we're only together for 8 mths (at that time),
but he waited for years for this day to come.
how silly he is. hehe. but that's true, we've know each other for many years.
and i know him inside-out. even before we're together.
but i think he knows me even better. hehehe.

our first attempt was yishun greenwalk. located near yishun blk 200+.
our queue no. was just as what I've expected. it was 1000+ queue no. how pathetic.
but that time i felt its a blessing in disguise.
cos i wasn't really prepared to settle down yet.

after much thoughts and going through this relationship with him as time passes.
i gradually feels that no one else knows me better other than kel.
i love his gentleness in his masculine ways. he's always so calm and patient with me.
he always manage to tame down my temper although i was really erupting volcano at times.
and all my family starts to like him and accept him as a member in our family too.
mum's starting to treat him better than me. super jealous.
and parents always asked me not to bully him.
and papa told me to be a good wife to him in future.
must always listen to him and make him good food. (-_-")

and one fine day bro come telling me. "you know what jillian (bro's gf) told me?"
and i ask "what?" bro says. "jill say if she were you, she will marry to kel immediately, nowadays,
how to find such a patience boyfriend who treats you like princess!"
and bro adds on " i think no guys in this world can tolerate a gf like you, so irritating and annoying" (-_-")
i think bro adds on the latter sentence to "suan" me indirectly. idiot.

that's when I thought, I think kel is the one. =))
and so we go for another attempt to apply flat in yishun. and we got it the BTO!
we opted for 5 rooms flat in Yishun Vista Spring located at yishun ave 1 and st 41 and close to yishun seletar reservoir.
kel and I really love the location though others say its remote.
furthermore, our queue no. was 55. the early batch to select our unit.
both of us were uberly excited to select our future home.
we got the 7th floor unit and its completion date is 3Q 2014. =))
and we got the unit that we wanted. WE WERE CRAZILY EXCITED.
as i'm typing this, im still smiling away. cant contain the happiness and excitement. hehe!

both kel and I are working really hard now to earn more ka-chings for our future.
and in return, we gotta sacrifice some time spent with each other.
but kel never fails to meet me everyday after his work no matter how late it was.
cos both of us can't live w/o seeing each other every single day.
that's how sticky we are. =)
even if just meet for few mins, we are contented. hehe.

IM REALLY EXCITED AND LOOKING FORWARD TO OUR HOME.
hope our future home will be filled with papa toh, mama toh and baby toh. hehe.
and here goes, our future crib in 4 years time. =))

attended cousin's 21st birthday celebration last night and it was a blast.

i remember 3 years back, i have my own 21st celebration. time flies. and now its my cousin's turn.

my pretty cousin has turn 21 now. and very soon the rest of my cousins will turn 21 year by year. the thought of it really makes me feel older. brother also told me he's moving into 老人区 in our maternal side of family. cos he's the oldest cousin there. hahaa!

have lotsa laughter with my family. especially with my mummy around. the whole place is full of her laughter. so loud and clear. haha!

enjoyed myself over the weekends with my love ones. =)

papa is the coolest papa ever. he sat the battlestar ride with me.
hold papa's hand and shout our lungs for the battlestar ride.

and mummy is even cooler. despite her high blood pressure.
she sat the mummy ride with us. and she scream till she cried the whole ride.
even till the end. when the ride stops.
she still screaming and crying at the top of her lungs.
papa and me was laughing our heads off. haha.!

USS is even more fun and thrill now with the rides open.
and the new waterworld show and monster rocks show was really fantastic.
those who hasn't been there. i urge u to go!! hehe.

but at the end of the day.
we were all super tired mentally and physically.
with all the aftermath rides torturement. haha.
but me and bro last till the end. we sat the whole rides.
cos kelvin and jill was freaked out after the red battlestar.
but it was really an ejoyable weekend at USS with my family and my kelvin.

kelvin now has gone back to filming industry to do what he really loves.
and he's getting busier till no time for me!!
hated and always dreaded this day to come! but i'll be understanding.
work hard now and more ka-chings will come our way. =) hehe!

Boyfriend's mum was hospitalize.
Waited for her with his family outside operating room last night.
The operation lasted for about 7 hours.
And boyfriend waited at the hospital for 7 whole hours.

The moment she was pushed out and transfer to monitoring ward.

It was my first time seeing boyfriend's so sad.

i remember this day last year.
i was being hit hard on the face & falls badly down on earth.
many things change everysince this day last year.
all the familiar faces becomes strangers.
& the once-close-you becomes hatred in my heart.

this hatred i've been bringing along in me everyday.
like a baggage, it grew heavier each day.
everytime something strucks my eyes on something so familiar.
the weight of the baggage adds on.
& i curse & swear for retribution befalls each & every single day.

at times & many times, i choose to run away.
shut myself from the outside world.
& drown myself in my own paradise of sorrow.
& also, do lotsa silly things to myself.

it was then, i met lotsa different people from all walks of life.
telling me their own story of sorrow.
& i realize, there're so much things i need to learn.
& not enclose myself into a dark box,
& pray for something which won't have a good outcome ultimately.

& i'm grateful for people who touches my heart.
leading me on, like a shining torch guiding me a way out of the dark box.

life is precious, & the lives living around you are even more precious.
cherish & treasure those who loves & dotes you.
and not going after something which has becomes a past.
that will never return its eyes on you.

& time has proven its part. that scars & wounds will heal itself.
time is like an OK bandage, it will wrap up the wound inside you.
& believe me, the wound will heal and recover eventually.

till now, i wouldn't say i've put down the baggage entirely.

life's been never ending work. exams. & jungling time spent with loved ones.
so boyfie plan a after exam short trip for me!
a short getaway to bintan over the weekends. hehe.
it also marks our first time travelling oversea's together with each other

& also my first time travelling o'seas with my boyfriend.

the beach there is clear, white and the sea is crystal blue.
u can really differentiate the white sandy beach and the clear blue sky and sea.
thats what call a beach. unlike the polluted singapore's beach. haha.

it's really relaxing just lazing in the pool and enjoy the scenery and watching the people there.
cause the people are truely happy and 幸福.
boyfie and i really love to see baby swimming in the pool.
they're so cute and bubbly! hehe. makes us wanna have one soon. hahaha!

it's a pity bintan was having heavy downpour at night.
else we would explore the place more.
but i really enjoy myself over there. felt like a 幸福小女人。(^.^)

had a once in a lifetime experience over the weekend.
together with kelvin, bro and jillian.

had a stayover at Paiza Hotel in Marina Bay Sands hotel.
all thanks to jillian's auntie.! =)
the hotel suite was extremely classy.
felt instantly atas the moment i got in. haha!

half the time we (i) were amazed by the gadgets there.
like mountain tortise. hehe.
the view from our 31st floor room was super duper ultra awesome.
it was simply speechless.

lucky us, we got the view facing singapore's best nightview.
& super lucky us, we were facing padang where there was rehersal for NDP.
FIREWORKS!! the view was stunning.

had an enjoyable weekend with my loved ones. =)

sidetrack abit. took leave last monday to study at home.
& i witnessed an accident downstair my house.
heard students screaming following a loud bang coming from yishun JC.
rushed out with mum, saw a motor & a car collided.
the motorist got flung to other side of the road.
it was a young adult in his mid 20s.
he was lying on the road. motionless.

few mins later, i saw him putting pressure against his abdomen. and he turn over.
his stomach and arms were filled with blood.
the moment i rushed down. people was there helping as much as they can.
some was helping out the with traffic and oncoming vehicles.
the driver was freaked out.
few mins later. ambulance came and the medic came down to attend to the guy immediately.

the whole incident left me sleepless for tt night.
cant sleep the whole night. kept thinking. and wonder if the guys's alright.
& lotsa thoughts came into my mind.
life's so vulnerable, so unpredictable.
this moment u may be alive. the next moment u might be lying on the road with a pool of blood.

so, pls cherish the people around you.
say. "i love u" if you love them.
u might not know the when's the next time u'll be seeing tt person again.

month of may has been sucha busy month for me.

7. Love is Not Arrogant. Love is not conceited, boastful,cocky, or stuck-up. Love, instead, is humble and has a servant attitude. 11. Love is Not Provoked. This means that love has a long fuse. It does not become irritated and angry. It is not easily offended.

12. Love does not seek its own. This is the heart of love. Love is other-centred rather than self- centred. Love says, "I love you, I want to give to you." Selfishness says, "I love you, I want you!"

13. Love does not act unbecomingly. This means that love does not behave disgracefully, dishonourably or indecently. It does not embarrass others by its action. It is characterised by tact and sensitivity. This also means that love should have good manner. Be sure to do little things like opening doors for your girl, or offering her your arm when you walk together.

14. Lastly, Love is forgiving. This is a MUST for a successful love story. If a guy is not willing to forgive and forget when his girlfriend is one hour late, he is not exhibiting love. Love doesn't hold grudges when it has been
wronged. It doesn't remain resentful.
